Meet Jean
I am Jean Curley, a leadership coach and development partner who works with leaders and organizations navigating growth, change, and increasing responsibility. I help leaders make sense of competing priorities, make sound decisions, and lead their teams in a way that keeps work moving forward and people supported, even when things are changing.
A foundation in practical leadership
I grew up on a dairy farm in the Northeast, where responsibility showed up early and work needed to get done regardless of conditions. Clear communication, follow-through, and problem-solving were not ideals. They were daily expectations. That foundation continues to shape how I work with leaders today.
Over a 15-year career in financial services, I led teams, coached leaders at multiple levels, facilitated leadership team alignment, and designed enterprise-level talent and leadership strategies. I have worked in front-line operations and in organization-wide roles, which means I understand both the pressure to deliver results and the complexity of leading people through change.
I know what it feels like to lead from the middle of an organization, to balance strategy with day-to-day execution, and to make decisions that affect both people and performance.
Why I built this practice
I built Jean Curley Transformational Leadership after seeing a consistent gap in organizations. As expectations increased and change accelerated, leaders were asked to take on more responsibility without always having space to think, support to sort priorities, or a steady partner to help them work through complex decisions.
Too often, leadership support showed up only after problems surfaced. I wanted to offer something different. Practical, thoughtful support that helps leaders stay ahead of challenges, not react to them.
My work focuses on strengthening leadership where it has the greatest impact. In everyday decisions, in how leaders show up for their teams, and in how organizations move through moments of change.
How I work
My approach is grounded, practical, and people-centered. I combine ICF-aligned coaching, strengths-based insight, and hands-on leadership experience to help leaders navigate real situations, not hypothetical ones.
In our work together, leaders often:
Sort through competing priorities and decide what truly matters
Think through complex or high-stakes decisions
Prepare for moments that require judgment, clarity, and care for people
Strengthen how they communicate expectations and support their teams
Build leadership practices that hold up as roles and responsibilities grow
I do not offer one-size-fits-all solutions. I meet leaders where they are and help them work through what is directly in front of them, with a focus on steady progress and practical follow-through.
Who I partner with
Much of my work focuses on emerging and mid-level leaders, small-business and farm owners, and leadership teams who are translating strategy into day-to-day action. I also partner with senior leaders and executives who want a thoughtful, practical coaching and facilitation partner as they navigate complex decisions and change.
Across all engagements, my goal is the same. To help leaders lead with focus, sound judgment, and steadiness so their teams and organizations can move forward with confidence.
A trusted partner through change
Whether you are leading a team, a function, or an organization, I partner with you to strengthen leadership in a way that is grounded, practical, and built to last as expectations evolve.
Leadership does not need to feel chaotic to be effective. With the right focus, decisions, and support, it can be steady, human, and impactful.
